Poetry for Charity is a poetry competition where you can submit your unique poetry, and get a chance to win brilliant prizes. All proceeds form this competition will go to the charity Wings of Hope, and ultimately be sent to help underprivileged children in India and Sierra Leone.

How much does it cost to enter?

Entry is strictly £2 per poem. This fee can be paid directly through our online submission form when you upload your work.

Where does the entry fee go?

All proceeds from entry fees go towards supporting our charity partner Wings of Hope, and ultimately go to underpriveliged children in India and Sierra Leone.

Can I submit multiple poems?

Yes, you can submit more than one poem. Each individual submission requires its own entry form and a £2 fee.

Who can enter the competition?

The competition is open to writers of all backgrounds and experience levels, whether you are an established writer or picking up a pen for the first time. There is no minimum or maximum age limit - you just need to have a passion for it!

What style or theme should my poem follow?

Your poem must fit this year's theme of Equality, but you can interpret this any way you like!

How are the poems judged?

Our independent judging panel reviews all submissions anonymously, assessing originality, emotional depth, and creative craftsmanship.

When will the winners be announced?

Winning entrants will be notified via email following the judging period, with results also posted on our prizes page.

How do I receive feedback on my submission?

Due to the high volume of submissions expected, individual feedback cannot always be provided, but shortlisted poets receive detailed recognition. If you would like feedback, reply to our result email and we will do our best to try and send you a review.
